Physiotherapy

is a healthcare profession with a science foundation. It is a non-invasive approach to restore movement, improve function and relieve pain. It uses manual, hands-on therapy, physical rehabilitation and specific exercises. It alleviates pain and stiffness related to muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and joints. If appropriate you may be shown some exercises which you can perform at home.

Sports and Dance Physiotherapy

treats and prevents injury across all levels and ages. I assess, diagnose and treat a range of conditions from new injuries to long-standing problems. I also provide pre and post event massage.

Surgical Rehabilitation

provides pre and post-operative care for all orthopaedic surgical procedures. I work closely with your surgeon to give you the best care, helping restore strength, function and movement with hands-on treatment and exercise programmes.

Acupunture

uses a research-based approach for pain relief and muscle release. I have accreditation with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). It can be used solely or in conjunction with other treatment techniques and if relevant I may suggest this.

Taping

Kinesiology Taping is a rehabilitative technique that reduces tension on muscles, ligaments and joints without restricting your normal range of movements. Sports Taping provides a protective support to joints. I can teach you how to apply the tape yourself.
